Nick Jonas

Gwen Stefani, who originally replaced Adam Levine on The Voice is now leaving the show in its 18th season. No worries! Nick Jonas will be replacing Stefani who will join Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton and John Legend as a chair turner. This a good thing for the show, which keeps it fresh by striking a nice balance between stability and change.

Jonas is very excited to begin this new venture. In an recent Ellen DeGeneres Show appearance he expressed his excitement about being a “part of The Voice family.”

An extremely talented musician, Nick also worked with NBC on Songland, which made this decision much easier for the network.

Meredith Ahr, president of Alternative and Reality Group at NBC Entertainment, commented, “As a member of one of the hottest pop groups, Nick’s success in navigating all aspects of the music industry is exceptional. We were so impressed by his innate musicality, technical aptitude and passion that he brought to Songland earlier this year and know he will be an incredible fit as a coach on The Voice.”

The 17th season of The Voice with Stefani is airing now. The 18th season with Jonas will begin broadcasting in February of 2020.
